Liverpool are reportedly exploring the option of signing young left-back Milos Kerkez to appropriately replace aging Arne Slot.
As the winter transfer window is nearing, the transfer rumour mill has started churning out ample amounts of rumours across the globe.
The Reds are also not out of that periphery and have been subject of several rumours relating to mew transfers.
Despite boasting one of the strongest squads in the Premier League and across Europe, there are a few departments which are needed to be worked on.
The left-back is one such position where the Merseysiders have to evaluate and plan for the future keeping in mind the age of Andy Robertson who will be turning 31 next year and Kostas Tsimikas also reaching 29.
Although there are young academy players like Luke Chambers, Owen Beck and Calum Scanlon on the list of potential replacements, Chambers and Scanlon are injured despite impressing Arne Slot in the pre-season.
However, a recent report has claimed that the Anfield giants are working towards a long-term solution.

The 21-year-old Serbian-born defender currently plays for PL side Bournemouth since summer of 2023.
So far, the youngster has played 44 matches for the Cherries and has provided three assists across all competitions.
Coming through the youth ranks of Serbia and Hungary, he went on to play for the U-19 side of AC Milan in the 2020-21 season.
Then he moved to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and finally joined Bournemouth after playing for two seasons at Netherlands.
Featuring for the Hungarian national team in 21 matches across all competitions, he has provided two assists.
Former Middlesbrough midfielder-turned-commentator Robbie Mustoe commenting on the youngster said,
“He’s one of them that looks really comfy going forward, really good left foot, but defence too. If you just watch the way he plays, he’s got a bit of fire in his belly and he is kind of an aggressive defender as well. I had a quick look down the top of the Premier League table looking at their left-backs, I don’t think there’s many better than this guy.”
However, here are a few weaknesses of him that are needed to be worked upon. His passing and physicality needs to improve along with his habit of holding the ball too long.
Considering all the facts, Kerkez cab be a good replacement for the Scottish skipper as Mustoe said, he “looks like Robertson at his peak. Good going forward and an aggressive defender.”
