Liverpool have reportedly made a transfer decision regarding the signing of 19-year-old Greek forward, Stefanos Tzimas.

There have been a lot of rumours and reports linking FC Nurnberg striker, Stefanos Tzimas with a move to the English giants in recent days and weeks. There were also reports that the Reds were looking to make him the most expensive Greek teenager with a £25m fee.

In the midst of all this, the Reds have however come forward to provide their stance as regards signing the promising young striker from 2. Bundesliga side, FC Nurnberg during the ongoing transfer window.

What is Liverpool’s transfer decision about Tzimas

Liverpool have indicated that they have no interest in pursuing a deal for Stefanos Tzimas, having been linked with the Greek striker who is currently on loan at FC Nurnberg from Greek giants, PAOK.

In a recent X update from Liverpool FC reporter for TheAthletic, James Pearce, he stated “Liverpool have no interest in pursuing a deal for Stefanos Tzimas. The club have been linked with a teenage Greek striker who is currently on loan at FC Nurnberg from PAOK.”

This news comes as a shocking one to the Reds’ fans, who finally thought that the club would be making a signing this transfer window as the club looks to keep its place atop the Premier League and UEFA Champions League tables while also still being in the running for the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Some fans are also worried that the current squad that has performed very well so far this term, may not be able to cope with the intensity of competing on all fronts as the season progresses.

With star forward Mohammed Salah running out of contract this summer, Diogo Jota’s bad injury record and huge possibilities that Darwin Nunez will leave the club soon [the Reds have already rejected a bid in the region of £70 million for the striker], many hoped that Tzimas’ addition to Slot’s side would have helped bolster the club’s attacking options.

However, it is now reported that Liverpool are no longer interested in securing the services of the Greek striker. It remains uncertain whether the Reds will make any signings this transfer window and which players they will focus on next.
