Liverpool looking to sign Premier League winger as Mo Salah replacement?
Liverpool are looking at potential replacements for Mohammed Salah, and the latest players to be linked is Chelsea’s Mykhaylo Mudryk. A surprising candidate to be linked with Liverpool as he joined Chelsea during the January transfer window in 2023 for a whooping £89m.
Things haven’t worked out for him after joining Chelsea in 2023. He has also fallen down the pecking order under new manager Enzo Maresca.
Liverpool looking at Chelsea’s Mykhaylo Mudryk
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Liverpool could look to end Mudryk’s Chelsea nightmare by swooping for him in a deal worth around $39m (£29m/€35m) next summer, although the total package could rise to $56m (£42m/€50m) should the Reds be willing to negotiate a deal.
Mykhaylo Mudryk having labelled as one of the biggest flops in the Premier League, is a player nobody thought would be linked to Liverpool.
Liverpool will only make a move for the Ukraine international, if Mo Salah leaves Liverpool next summer. With only one year left in his contract, there is still no update from the club regarding salah’s situation.
Mykhaylo Mudryk just has seven goals and six assists in his 64 appearances for Chelsea. He was bought from Shakhtar Donetsk for £89m. Liverpool will have to pay more than his current valuation if they want to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk.
There is still a lot of potential in the 23 year old, and Chelsea might not be the best place for him to develop. Chelsea hijacked Mudryk from Arsenal, after the gunners were favourites for the Ukrainian’s signature in 2023.
