Liverpool are reportedly looking to sign Fulham’s Antonee Robinson as a potential replacement for Andy Robertson. Manchester United are also reportedly in the race for the 27-year-old’s signature.
Robinson is valued at around £35million, but the Reds will have to pay more to secure Robinson’s signature as there will be heavy competition.
Liverpool are planning into the future now that Robertson has entered into his thirties and a number of options will be looked at.
Liverpool to bid for Antonee Robinson?
According to The Sun Liverpool have a firm interest in signing the 27-year-old. Manchester United have also been a keen admirer of Robinson. United are looking to strengthen their left-back position as Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are both out injured.
There are reports United could move for Robinson in as early as January. Liverpool will have to move quickly if they have to sign Robinson.
Antonee Robinson is a similar profile to Andy Robertson and will suit the Liverpool system. Robinson is under contract till 2028, Fulham did sign Ryan Sessegnon as back-up left back. Robinson joined Fulham in 2020 from Wigan for a fee of around £2m. He is also a regular starter for the USA team.
Liverpool just made two signings in the summer, with several key issues still needing to be addressed. Liverpool are reportedly looking to make two signings in the winter and hopefully, Antonee Robinson is a signing Liverpool will make.
