Liverpool injury crisis this term is expected to take a downturn, as key players who have been out of action with injury are expected to resume back to training.
Arne Slot has revealed in his press conference that a trio of Liverpool players are back in training today, but a decision on their availability for the Reds’ upcoming match against AFC Bournemouth is yet to be made.
The injured trio of players scheduled to resume training today are Joe Gomez, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez.

Boost for Slot as key Liverpool players set to resume training
Arne Slot has received good news about injured duo of Joe Gomez and Diogo Jota, as both are set to return to training with the team alongside Darwin Nunez who missed Wednesday’s Champions League defeat to PSV Eindhoven due to illness, which he has since recovered from.
Joe Gomez has been sidelined for the last eight matches due to a hamstring injury, while Diogo Jota has not played since scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
Arne Slot was asked in his press conference on Friday whether the trio will be available for Liverpool’s Premier League meeting with the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
The manager addressed the media, saying:
“All three are training today, so the question is, are they fit enough to join us for the Bournemouth game? We will have to assess that today, as we likely have more than 20 players available. It’s not always easy to manage that many options, but we will make the smartest decision for both their fitness and our chances of winning tomorrow’s match.”
The Reds will be looking to claim all 3 points on offer at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, as they look to extend their lead at the top of the table to 9 points, before 2nd-placed Arsenal take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in what should prove to be an epic showdown on Sunday.
