Dimitri de Conde, the sporting director of K.R.C. Genk football club wants Liverpool to sign a striker like Paul Onuachu. Further, De Conde also belives that the Nigerian footballer could be a really useful player for the Reds.

The 27-year-old forward, who currently plays in the Belgian league for Genk has some really impressive stats. Onuachu has scored a whooping 35-goal haul in 41 appearances for the club across all competitions last season.

Moreover, the Nigerian striker has a solid built having a height of 6ft 7in. Thus, he has been a pice of attraction across the top European clubs. Meanwhile, looking at the current run of games, Liverpool’s dependency on the front three is turning out to be a deficiency for the Reds. Thereafter, the Sporting director is right to point out the lack of physical presence in the attacking half of Liverpool.

Dimitri de Conde explains why Onuachu is the perfect fit for Liverpool

Speaking about the game against Chelsea, in which Liverpool failed to score the winner even after a men up for the complete second half, Dimitri de Conde said

“Did you see Liverpool against Chelsea? Liverpool have the best strikers, but none with the same profile as Onuachu”

Talking about the match he further added

“He [Onuachu] would have scored against 10 men. I’m not saying that Paul would play 90 minutes every week in Liverpool, but a club like that could really use him.”

Liverpool were linked with a lot of attacking players during the summer transfer window, but non of the rumours turned out to be true. Moreover, none of the Liverpool forwards posses any phycial threat to the opposion. Thus, Onuachu could turn out to be a really good option for Liverpool.

However, the Genk forward still has 3 years left on his contract with the Belgian club. Although, it was quite amusing to see the sporting director giving advice to Liverpool to sign their prolific forward.

With the defence now looking rock solid with the inclusion of Ibrahima Konaté, Liverpool fans will be happy to see a sold player joining the attacking department.
