The Premier League giants Liverpool are interested in signing 20-year-old midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

According to Sport 1 journalist Kerry Hau via Sport Witness, the Merseyside giants are keen on signing Ryan Gavenberch from Bayern Munich this summer transfer window ahead of next season.

Why Ryan Gravenberch?

The 20-year-old found it difficult to make an impact in the German giant’s starting eleven in his debut season. As Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are firmly ahead of the young star in the pecking order.

Ryan has been part of Bayern Munich since joining them from Ajax ahead of the 2022-23 season. The Dutchman joined the Ajax youth academy back in 2010.

This season he has made 22 appearances for the German giants and has contributed two goals. In those 22 appearances, he has only been on the pitch for just over 600 minutes.

It’s quite obvious that the Dutch international will be looking for more minutes and the Reds are looking for a quality midfielder, this could be a perfect fit for both parties.

Journalist Kerry Hau’s observation

On speaking about this possibility, the Sports 1 journalist said

“Liverpool are interested. They want to rejuvenate their midfield in the summer and can well imagine getting two new eights- another player in addition to the desired player Jude Bellingham.

His name has been mentioned more often by those responsible, (there is no concrete interest yet) but the situation is being examined and they have already contacted Gravenberch’s people to ask about him, what type of person he is.”

The upcoming transfer window is going to be very crucial for the Merseyside club. If the Reds invest in good players then this will mark the new beginning of the Klopp era otherwise it will lead to another disastrous season, and the English giants cannot afford that for consecutive seasons.
