Egypt and Liverpool star Mo Salah handed major boost

The Reds have received a major boost as Mo Salah might not be required for Egypt’s November fixtures. Egypt has already qualified for African Cup of Nations there is a chance Salah might not be needed for the matches against Cape Verde and Botswana in November. This will give Salah a good two weeks to rest and recharge, it will be crucial for his fitness to play in the Premier League.

Egypt and Liverpool have both been careful in managing the fitness and workload of Mo Salah. Salah was given a rest in Egypt’s last game against Mauritania. The match was played in an artificial turf which would risk injuries for Salah. Egypt manager Hossam Hassan was also worried about the violent defending of Mauritania players.

Manager Arne Slot is reportedly keen to extend Salah’s contract. Still in the peak of his career, Mo Salah did give a hint that it was his ‘last year’ .

The Egypt international has been a key figure in the success of Liverpool and Loosing Salah on a free would certainly be painful for Liverpool fans.
