The young player was a part of Feyenoord in 2022-23 when they won the Eredivisie title. With 13 goals and 13 assists, this Spanish midfielder has now taken up the mantle of the Captain of his team for the new season.
Liverpool appears to be interested in Quinten Timber
The summer transfer window at Liverpool have already ended long ago, and LFC has tried their best to sign new talents. It’s clear that Slot improved the squad depth of his team to mainly with the existing key players.
However, It appears that Liverpool are planning to target Quinten Timber. The Spanish International has his roots in Ajax while he was a part of the youth division. Although he spent his formative years in different clubs, Timber rose to prominence as a part of Feyenoord. After 2022, he has become one of the most successful players of the Eredivisie.
According to a report by TeamTALK, Liverpool is looking forward to signing Quinten Timber. Under Slot, this Feyenoord Star has already made 74 appearances. Previous reports indicate that the LFC Boss is a bit disappointed with Wataru Endo and Curtis Jones. Both of them have failed to give the Liverpool midfield the refreshing start it needed.
Furthermore, there are other reasons for which the Merseyside Club might be on the run for him. Quinten Timber can become an alternative for Zubimendi, the Liverpool target who decided to stay loyal to Sociedad. Back then, Feyenoord brought the 23-year-old Midfielder at €10 million from FC Utrecht.
The Dutch international is in the final 2 years of his contract. Without searching for a new option, the Reds can find a better chance with Jurrien Timber’s brother.
