Liverpool could sign Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo to replace Federico Chiesa in the summer as Barcelona might be forced to sell the 26 year old.
Federico Chiesa has not had a start he expected. Lack of pre-season and injuries has not helped him in his time with the Reds till now. Many fans and pundits has already named the 27 year old Italian the flop signing of the season.

Liverpool set to replace Chiesa with Dani Olmo?
Federico Chiesa is now back with the squad after injury, but there are reports that the Reds could replace him with Dani Olmo who could be available on a free.
Liverpool could take advantage of Barcelona’s situation and sign the Spaniard Dani Olmo who is top form right now.
As The Athletic reports: “As things stand, the 26-year-old Spain attacking midfielder is not eligible to play for Barca from the start of next year. Olmo, who joined from RB Leipzig in the summer for a fee in the region of €60million (£50m; $63m), could even leave on a free transfer.”
“Spaniard is currently not eligible to play for the Catalan side from January 1, 2025, however, due to yet more issues regarding La Liga’s salary rules.”
As the reports says Barca could be forced to sell Olmo due to salary issues. Many clubs including Liverpool might be interested in the opportunity to sign Dani Olmo.

However Dani Olmo’s injury record is not great. The Spaniard has struggled with injuries a lot in his career. The club should give Chiesa a chance to prove himself before jumping to conclusions. The Italian has had only 78 minutes of playing time for the Reds so far.
