Liverpool closing in on completing third summer signing

Liverpool are not slowing down this summer. With two signings already confirmed, the Reds are now close to sealing a deal for their third, one for the future.

According to reports from France via journalist Nabil Djellit), 15-year-old Sidy Barhama Ndiaye is set to join the club from Senegal’s Diambars FC academy.

It’s been a busy window at Anfield so far. Jeremie Frimpong arrived to strengthen the defense after Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure, while young Hungarian keeper Armin Pecsi joined with a view to the long term.

Talks for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez are also said to be progressing well. But now, attention turns to the next generation.

Liverpool’s scouts have been hard at work. And it was during the U17 Africa Cup of Nations that Ndiaye caught their eye.

Liverpool go back to Senegal roots

The move for Ndiaye isn’t just about adding numbers. It shows the club’s desire to invest in young talent with high potential. And for fans who remember the impact of Sadio Mane, the idea of another Senegalese winger lighting up Anfield is an exciting one.

French journalist Nabil Djellit reports that the deal is expected to cost around €1 million. A small price if the teenager lives up to expectations.

The Diambars academy, known for producing technically gifted players, has been key in Ndiaye’s rise. At just 15 (will turn 16 this December), he’s already shown his speed, control, and ability to play on either wing.

Despite a smaller build, he uses his agility to get past defenders and make things happen in the final third.

Liverpool’s focus on youth is clear. With Ndiaye likely to join the academy setup, he’ll have the chance to grow in a top-class environment. If all goes well, Anfield could be singing about another Senegal star in the years to come.
