Liverpool look to be in the pole position to sign Andy Robertson replacement Milos Kerkez, beating Manchester United and Manchester City.
With the perfect start to the 2024-25 season, the Reds look destined to win the Premier League and Champions League titles.
And this winter transfer window has provided the Merseysiders with the opportunity to strengthen their ranks in order to increase their chances of winning.
Although Arne Slot’s whole team has become menacing mercenaries, few of the players have looked a bit shabby. One of them is Andy Robertson.
The Scottish skipper has been a shadow of himself starting from the left-back position, after being an indispensable member of Jurgen Klopp’s system.
Robertson, since last season, has looked to be a bit slower and ineffective compared to second-choice Kostas Tsimikas. Many have been suggesting to promote the Greek as the starter.
However, the Anfield giants must think of a young long-term solution in that position as both current options are 30 and 28 respectively.

Kerkez, the young Hungarian fullback joined the Cherries in the summer of 2023. Since then his performances have attracted many PL clubs.
The Old Trafford side in particular are more interested to sign the young defender is because new manager Ruben Amorim is in dire need of a left-back.
However, the Merseyside giants look to be in the pole position to secure the 21-year-old’s transfer as Richard Hughes, responsible for the left-back’s PL move, is now overseeing this business.
Liverpool would have to pay a fee of somewhere around £50m as Bournemouth are not thinking of selling the youngster.
If they find a way to land this transfer, then they would have a long-term solution for the left-back position.
