Virgil Van Dijk has some valuable advice for Darwin Nunez
Staying in form is without a doubt one of the hardest things to do in sports, especially when you are a footballer. Since Nunez admitted to dealing with negative comments about this, the Liverpool captain has stepped up.
Van Dijk spoke wise and kind words for Darwin Nunez. Recently, the Uruguay International removed all photos from Instagram. They were related to his team and his moments with Anfield. For some reason, Nunez appears to be emotional.
Back then, during the final days of Klopp, the youngster lost his place in the team. Now, Van Dijk has extended his support to Nunez.
“That’s the main thing: don’t get dragged into the positivity and then the low of the negativity or you will be dizzy at a certain point.
Consistency is the key. I think he shouldn’t get carried away – but he won’t – and now is the time for him to recover and focus on the next opportunity he gets. That’s football”
Arne Slot wants him to improve his skills as a part of the central defense of LFC. According to Van Dijk, Nunez is already improving in his game. Under Slot, the 25-year-old wants a fresh start.
“He worked hard defensively when we didn’t have the ball and those are the things that we need from the whole team.
The fans love him for his work-rate, his directness and what he brings to the table and he got reward for the hard work he did with a good goal but we want him to be consistent and keep doing it and I am confident he will be fine.”
