Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante has been linked to a move to Liverpool and PSG at the end of the current campaign.

Football Insider claims that Liverpool are attempting to sign free-agent midfielder Kante from Chelsea. Moreover, Paris Saint-Germain will compete with the Reds for the veteran Chelsea player.

Kante’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign. And he could sign with another team as a free agent. There are rumours that the contract might be extended. But, the two parties have not yet been able to come to a consensus. The story does add that Chelsea and Kante are having advanced negotiations.

The France international is having a challenging season. He has battled with an ongoing injury issue. Kante hasn’t been able to make a significant impact. And it’s unclear whether the Blues will be willing to let him go in the summer.

Kante might be an excellent short-term solution for Liverpool

Kante is one of the top defensive midfielders in the world. He might be an excellent short-term addition to teams like Liverpool and PSG. It is less risky to make the move because he might become a free agent soon. And if Chelsea cannot secure him with a new contract, we can say the Reds and the French capital won’t be the only two behind his signatures.

The 31-year-old may solve Liverpool’s defensive midfield problems. The Merseyside club are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements. The Frenchman may be a great replacement for someone like Milner if he can overcome his injury issues and he might act as an alternative for the out-of-form Fabinho.

While the Englishman James Milner will become a free agent and depart the team at the end of the current season. Also, Klopp will need to take on his leadership traits and abilities and pass it on to someone els.

Meanwhile, PSG must strengthen their roster to compete on all fronts and finally capture the Champions League. The Chelsea midfielder may find the chance to return to France a tempting offer. And it’s still unclear where he’ll ultimately end up.

With his tackling and interception abilities, Kante will help the aforementioned clubs to strengthen their midfield and tighten up their defence and safeguard the central defenders. The 31-year-old has already established himself in the Premier League with several clubs.

Thus, the Frenchman can easily adapt to any PL club and Anfield could be calling him soon.
