RB Leipzig are pushing to sign Liverpool midfielder Fabio Carvalho for £17M. The Portuguese joined the Reds last summer.

Fabio Carvalho to RB Leipzig? Liverpool’s Stand:

Liverpool’s attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho has attracted German club RB Leipzig. They are interested to sign the Portuguese this summer who did not get much opportunity for the Anfield side.

Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed this in an exclusive interview with GIVEMESPORT. But Klopp has said that the 20-year-old might leave the club on a loan deal this season.

The gaffer was quoted by The Athletic,

“There’s a possibility that he will go on loan. We’ll see…

… This was not Fabio’s best year in his career, but it might have been his most important. No player has impressed me more than Fábio. It is true. This very talented boy came here with big dreams and big expectations. It was okay in the beginning but didn’t work out [later in the season]. His work ethic will give him a fantastic career.”

While speaking about the possibility of Carvalho’s transfer, Fabrizio Romano said,

“RB Leipzig are really pushing to sign him. RB Leipzig really appreciate the player, so they want Fabio Carvalho. They want to sign him on a permanent deal, but Liverpool are still trying to find a different kind of solution because they don’t want to lose control of the player.”

Carvalho had a not-so-good season where the youngster made only 13 PL starts, although he did score two goals. The 20-year-old joined the Merseysiders last summer from Fulham for €9M.

Although he has not been able to deliver upto his expectation this season, that does not discard the fact that he has a great future. That’s why Liverpool will not let go of him easily.

The Portuguese midfielder still needs to grow and achieve the status to break into Klopp’s starting 11. So for his growth, a loan move for him can be expected this season.
