The January transfer window is right around the corner and Liverpool are now reportedly interested in the Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey.
The Merseyside giants recruited right-back Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen in the summer transfer window to cover for Trent Alexander- Arnold. However, the Scottish footballer got injured after his arrival at Anfield. Thus, now the Reds looking to make a move for Galatasaray’s full-back.
Sacha Boey to Liverpool done deal?
Ramsey had just joined LFC in the month of July. In order to sign a player with more experience, Liverpool are still eager to bolster the right side of their defence. That is the reason why they are looking for a possible cover for Arnold.
According to The Mirror, the English giants are targeting Boey, who is currently under contract with the Turkish side until June 2025.
Previously Liverpool were quoted a fee of £13M after being linked with the 22-year-old. Although it is unclear about any changes made in the asking price.
Red’s looking for a full-back
This Year Trent has been under fierce criticism by footballing pundits. He has been questioned again and again for his defensive responsibilities. Although the German head coach believes it is just a matter of time until the English international regains his old form.
Liverpool are currently sitting at the 6th spot of the table and they desperately needed defensive recruitment. According to the latest report by Junes Footeux has stated Lyon have expressed an interest in the France youth international describing the competition to be tough.
Who are in race to sign Boey?
Other than the English giants Real Madrid are also interested in the French defender. But his possible destination is still expected to be Merseyside.
Although the president of the Turkish giant g Ozbek has claimed
“we do not intend to sell any player”.
He further added saying,
“we have a very good squad, and we are fighting for the title. Besides Sacha Boey and Victor Nelson, there are offers for three or four more players.”
Boey has made 32 appearances for Galatasaray. Out of which he started 12 out of 13 league games. Boey has now gained enough experience in the Turkish league and looks ready to make a switch to a top-tier club.
