Liverpool have inquired about Atalanta’s midfielder Ederson, who is interested in a move to the Premier League. As Arne Slot prepares to succeed Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool’s manager, he is taking a brief holiday in Ibiza before starting his role.
Slot has already had discussions with the CEO of football Michael Edwards and incoming sporting director Richard Hughes about summer transfer priorities.
Liverpool To Sign A New No.6 Despite Wataru Endo’s Arrival Last Season! – Is it going to be Ederson?
Liverpool have made an enquiry with Atalanta for the midfield talent Ederson with the player reportedly confessing about his future in the premier league and Fabrizio Romano also reports that Arne Slot is looking for reinforcements in the midfield department.
The Reds are preparing for a bright new era in Anfield under Arne Slot, who is set to start his duties somewhere in the middle of June. Slot is believed to have made his wish to sign a new No.6 and a long-term heir of Fabinho, with Wataru Endo considered as a backup option for this new signing.
The Reds have been linked with the likes of Morten Hjulmand and Joao Neves in recent days for the role of No.6, but the huge release clause of both these players makes the deal a lot more difficult.
It would take a modest sum to convince Atalanta to get the signature of Ederson, despite the 24-year-old having a stellar season at the club, winning the Europa League with Atalanta. It would be a statement signing for Arne Slot if he can convince Ederson to join the Reds.
