Along with the German mastermind, many of his backroom support staff also left Anfield to follow their career elsewhere.

So the LFC officials have been in the quest to facilitate the new head coach Arne Slot with new adequate support staff.

The joining of Sipke Hulshoff, Jonny Heitinga, Ruben Peeters and Fabian Otte has been a testament to that.

Now another addition has taken place that will intrigue the Merseyside faithfuls.

Liverpool appoint David Breen

The Reds have secured the services of the former Limerick pitcher (baseball) as first-team rehab physio.

He joins the PL club from rugby union side Harlequins and has previously worked with Caoimhin Kelleher in the Republic of Ireland’s men’s national camp.

With the experience of working with Munster Rugby, Manchester City‘s academy, Wasps Rugby and at the Leinster Rugby academy as a physio in some capacity, his expertise will be of much use.

Breen’s former club Na Piarsaigh congratulated his latest appointment by writing on X,

“Davy has taken up the role of first-team physio with Liverpool and we’re all immensely proud in Na Piarsaigh today.”

As the season progresses, we see top players of the massive club getting sidelined for season-ending injuries.

Thankfully, the Anfield giants have not faced this kind of issue yet and them bolstering the rehab team will make sure that they don’t face this issue in the future.

Slot will also try welcoming analyst Roderick van der Ham from Feyenoord as he left the Dutch club prior to this international break.
