Done Deal: Liverpool agrees to sell Minamino to AS Monaco
Liverpool have agreed to sell Takumi Minamino to AS Monaco. Both the clubs have agreed to a £15.4m deal. The forward will leave the club just after 2.5 years of joining.

Minamino set to join AS Monaco for £15.4m
Now, the sources suggest Takumi Minamino will also depart.
The 27-year-old has been a part of Jurgen Klopp’s team since January 2020. But he has nonetheless played a significant squad role during that period.
His contribution to the League Cup and FA Cup victories last season was significant. And Klopp even blasted the decision to not use him more as a “crime.”
However, Minamino’s lack of playing time at Liverpool meant that a transfer had long been anticipated. And this summer, he had no shortage of admirers.
Monaco and Liverpool have come to an agreement in a transaction for up to £15.4 million despite competition from the Premier League and Ligue 1.
David Ornstein of the Athletic reports that Liverpool will earn a guaranteed fee of £12.87 million (€15 million) with a further £2.57 million (€3 million) in add-ons.
With Minamino costing the Reds £7.5 million to sign from Salzburg, the transfer fee represents a return on their initial investment.
The 27-year-old has signed a personal contract with Monaco. But he still needs to pass his physical because he is still in Japan after his season is over.
Since joining Liverpool, Minamino has made 55 appearances, scoring 14 goals. However, he has expressed his ambition to consistently play a significant part for his side.
