Ivan Toney, a £10M striker

To sign Ivan Toney, the Reds have been urged to take action. The striker, who costs £10m, would be ideal for Liverpool.

A great season for the £10m striker

The English striker, who is having an incredible season in the Premier League, already has eight goals in the year.

To put it in perspective, during the 2022–23 season, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah combined for just four goals in this tournament.

If the former Newcastle United hitman continues in this vein, it won’t be long until bigger Premier League clubs show an interest in the player. He joined in 2020 for £10 million. Enrique, a Liverpool supporter also thinks that Toney may be the perfect fit for Jurgen Klopp.

A probable addition for the Scousers?

Simply put, no. It’s not that he doesn’t score goals in the Premier League; we all know he does.

However, the Reds don’t need another number nine since Klopp has a glut of them already.
Nunez, Roberto Firmino, and Diogo Jota are Anfield’s center striker options.

Firmino appeared to be the lesser choice before a single ball was kicked this season. But after two months, the Brazil international has most likely been Klopp’s most dependable offensive player.

The success Brentford have had so far this season has been largely down to the former Newcastle United attacker. And if he were to go, Brentford would be in serious difficulty. The talisman was a major factor in Brentford’s avoidance of relegation in the previous season and is probably what will propel them to the mid-table area of the Premier League standings this season.

If Toney keeps up this form, a lot of teams will be interested in signing him in January, but Liverpool won’t be one of them.

For now, the Reds have further things to be worried about as they head on to face Guardiola’s squad. Make no mistakes, Klopp desperately wants a win against the Sky Blues in order to minimize the gap. But it won’t be an easy task.
