Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliot has been out for more than a month due to an injury, but is set to return to action.
Elliot sustained a fracture in his foot while on international duty with the England U21s during the September international break.
Elliot just played seven minutes this season. His injury came right before a tight schedule, which would have guaranteed him playing time.
Harvey Elliot set to return after injury
A true test awaits the Reds after the international break. A hard run of games awaits Slot and Liverpool, thus it is important to have the whole squad available.
The Athletic reports: “There was the welcome sight of Harvey Elliott back outside jogging at Kirkby after completing a gym session on Monday.”
“Initial talk of targeting the visit of Chelsea for a comeback proved to be overly optimistic but he could feature again by the end of October” said James Pearce on Harvey Elliot’s injury
The Reds have back-to-back matches scheduled against Brighton at the endo of October. Elliot is set to to return for any of those matches.
The tight schedule again will certainly provide Harvey Elliot with more game time, as Slot will have to rotate. Harvey was used as a No.10 by Slot in pre-season, currently, Szoboszlai occupies the Attacking midfielder position.
Harvey Elliot returning from injury will provide our midfield with more depth, which will help the team to get through the tight schedule.
