Klopp intensifies pursuit of Bayern midfielder, putting Manchester United transfer in jeopardy

Klopp is reportedly intensifying the Reds’ efforts to acquire a skilled midfielder from Bayern Munich, which may jeopardize one of Manchester United’s planned transfers.
The Reds are in need of a midfield overhaul this summer, having struggled in the middle of the park throughout this season.

With Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set to depart, Liverpool are seeking at least two new additions to refresh the midfield.
Ryan Gravenberch is reportedly one of the options being considered by Liverpool, as they look for alternatives to their top target, Jude Bellingham, for whom Borussia Dortmund may charge a fee well over £100m.
A few days ago, Jose Enrique put forward a captivating assertion regarding the potential transfer of Bayern Munich’s midfielder Ryan Gravenberch to Liverpool. Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Spaniard had this to say about Gravenberch:
“This player is ours amigo, Gravenberch. Amigo, it’s the same agent as me! Team Raiola, amigo we had a meeting not long ago in London, this is our player.”
Gravenberch, who had been previously pursued by Liverpool, has had a hard time establishing himself at Bayern, with just 24 appearances this season, and the club may be willing to discuss his sale for a fee of about £25m.
The effect on Manchester United due to this potential transfer
However, if Bayern approves Gravenberch’s sale, this could affect Marcel Sabitzer’s planned transfer to Manchester United.
The Austrian midfielder, who is currently on loan at United from Bayern, has impressed United’s manager Erik ten Hag, and there are talks of extending his stay.
But if Liverpool were to sign Gravenberch, it would be unlikely for Bayern to sell two midfielders in the same transfer window, and Sabitzer may have to return to Bayern.
Bayern’s new coach, Thomas Tuchel, will have his own plans and will use the coming months to assess his squad.
Gravenberch, Sabitzer, and Konrad Laimer, who is set to join Bayern from RB Leipzig this summer, will all be playing for their future at the club.
However, Laimer’s move to Bayern is expected to proceed as planned, despite the departure of Julian Nagelsmann, who had arranged the deal.
