To prevent his former Liverpool players from being upset, Jurgen Klopp has highlighted the chances of Spain, Germany, France and England in the Euro 2024 competition but he has refrained from picking a favourite.
Jurgen Klopp Reflect On Euro
After leaving his position at Anfield, former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been enjoying some time off.
In his first interview following his departure from Liverpool, Klopp talked about how he was hesitant to pick the winners of the Copa America and Euro 2024 in order to spare his former teammates.
While Alexis Mac Allister, Darwin Nunez, Alisson Becker and Luis Diaz are playing in Copa America several members of Liverpool’s first team including Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch, Virgil van Dijk, Diogo Jota and Ibrahima Konate are competing in Euro 2024.
Though he mentioned Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Uruguay for the Copa America Klopp was hesitant to declare who would win.
He did however note that Spain, Germany, France and England have excellent chances in the tournament.
Personal Life And Interactions
As demonstrated by his most recent correspondence with Alisson Becker Klopp is still in contact with his former players.
Funny enough he acknowledged that he couldn’t decide who would win the Copa America even after texting Alisson.
In Mallorca Klopp spent his time away from the game of football attending the seventh day of the Mallorca Championships tennis tournament.
He recently bought a lavish villa on the island of Mallorca as part of his new life there giving him a tranquil space to relax and enjoy life without the constant pressures of running a Premier League football team.
Impressions Of Life In Mallorca
When Klopp looked back on his time on Mallorca he expressed his appreciation for the island saying he loves practically everything about it.
He said,
“Where can I start? I pretty much like everything about it, to be honest. But I am not long enough here yet. We tried to figure out what we like most.”
He likes the ambience and way of life overall though he hasn’t been there long enough to pinpoint his favourite features.
His comments highlight a time of rest and reflection as he enters a new stage of his life and strikes a balance between his personal pursuits and staying involved in the football community.
