Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher reveals what is ‘very important’ to keep him ‘happy’

Since Alisson Becker is down with injury, Caoimhin Kelleher is currently the man in whom Liverpool have put their trust.

Kelleher admits “there’s confidence” in his form for Liverpool

Due to the absence of Gavin Bazunu, Republic of Ireland will depend upon the Anfield star in their match against England. It will be an interesting sight to see Caoimhin win in Wembley, where he won 2 Carabao Cup finals with the Merseysiders.

While talking to The Daily Mirror before the face off against his Liverpool mate Curtis Jones, Kelleher spoke about his form.

“It’s looking good at the moment. That run of games is very important, keeping that rhythm is good. I’m happy to be getting a chance to show everyone the levels I can play at.

It’s common sense. If I’m playing week in, week out, I’m going to be coming in more match-sharp and ready. There’s confidence from playing week in, week out.”

Besides playing for Liverpool, Kelleher has put forward excellent performance in the International stage. Latest one of them include saving Pohjanpalo’s penalty shot and another attack from Robin Lod.

Ireland went on to beat Finland with a 1-0 win in the Nations League match at Aviva Stadium. The 25-year-old is confident about winning the upcoming match against Three Lions.

“Any England versus Ireland game is big and we’ll definitely be up for it. We’ll look at the game to see what we could have done better, what we need to improve on and get ready.”

Although Mamardashvili is marching into the Liverpool squad next summer, Kelleher might find his position at stake. Fans are excited to see Caoimhin and Curtis go head to head in their collision. However, he is confident enough.

“Yeah, I’ve two cup wins there so hopefully another happy one on Sunday.”
