Kaide Gordon pens first contract with Liverpool Football Club.

Kaide Gordon who turned 17 recently has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool. The Englishmen plays at the wings for the Reds B team.

This allows clubs to offer such deals to academy stars. The addition of youngsters to the squad helps in resting some key players and thus also gives opportunities to the young lads to showcase their talent.

Kaide Gordon debuted for The Reds against Norwich City last month in the EFL Cup. He was given a full duration of 90 minutes as he did impress Jurgen Klopp with his footballing skills. The fact that he looked good right from the beginning of the match shows that he is ready to start in the Premier League fixtures as well.

Gordon possesses great talent and skill. He usually starts on the right and then cuts in with his left foot. He has got plenty of pace which makes him a dangerous prospect for the opponents. Thus, one can say the teenager has a similar style of play as the Egyptian Mohamed Salah.

Gordon Kaide started his football career by joining Derby County at the age of eight. He made one appearance for them in the Championship and has spent 8 years there.

Liverpool were fortunate to get him in February for a price of 1 million pounds. He played for the Liverpool U18 side in the second half of last season. He ended on a high note by notching up 6 goals to his name.

The plan is that he would spend the pre-season with Klopp’s boys before joining the U23 side. The journey with senior players would surely improve him as a player and enhance his growth. As a result, he would turn out to be much sharper when he joins the first-team squad.

Jurgen Klopp would certainly be having plans for this young budding star. For his calibre, he might challenge Liverpool Talisman Mohammed Salah for the right-wing spot. This gives Liverpool another hope as an alternative if in case injuries strike them again in the future.
