Klopp to give Cody Gakpo his Liverpool debut

Cody Gakpo is now officially a Liverpool player and is ready to play. Alongside Cody, Jurgen Klopp is set to make more changes in the squad, especially in the midfield when the Reds lock horns with Wolves tomorrow.

After an embarrassing loss against Brentford by 3-1, Liverpool will be facing Wolves in the FA cup on Saturday. With the Reds struggling in the Premier League, they will try to redeem themselves by defending their FA Cup triumph.

Klopp to give Cody his Debut game vs Wolves?

With all formalities completed and Cody Gakpo ready to play, we can see the 23-year-old’s debut in the FA cup against Wolves on Saturday.

The Merseyside giants are struggling with not only their midfield but their attack as well. Darwin Nunez is constantly performing poorly and has not lived up to his name. This can be a perfect moment for Gakpo to perform well and shine immediately in the club.

Despite constant poor performances, we can see Nunez starting again as Klopp will try to get the Uruguayan back on track. Salah as always will keep his place and start for the Reds. So we can see a whole new attack of Gakpo, Salah, and Nunez for the Reds.

Klopp to make changes in Liverpool midfield

Midfield no doubt has been a poor aspect for Liverpool this season. Jurgen Klopp might be trying to think of a new midfield plan and change some players. He will be trying this against Wolves in the FA cup.

Naby Keita gave a decent show against Brentford coming off the bench. Klopp will most probably keep him constant against The Wanderers sacrificing Harvey Elliot. Jordan Henderson can also return after suffering from a concussion and can take place of Thiago Alcantara. Furthermore, James Milner is still in doubt so we can see Fabinho back in the midfield.

Change in the defense line

Firstly, Liverpool’s no.1, Alisson Becker may be rested and Caoimhin Kelleher can start in his place. Calvin Ramsay is not a part of the squad currently due to an unspecified injury alongside James Milner who is suffering from a thigh injury. Klopp does not want to take any risks with his vice-captain, so he may start Joe Gomez as an alternate at the right back.

Joel Matip is an alternative at center back in place of Van Dijk who was limping at halftime in the last game. Alongside Joel Matip, we can see the duo of Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Moreover, Andy Robertson can be seen returning in place of Kostas Tsimikas, who struggled against the Bees.

Possible Liverpool starting XI:

Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Gomez, Robertson; Keita, Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Nunez, Gakpo.
