Liverpool are certainly looking for a better result against Everton after their humiliating defeat against Wolves. Would a few changes in the line-up do the trick for Klopp?

It’s not impossible to forecast Liverpool’s starting lineup as they look to bounce back against Everton in the Merseyside Derby following a 3-0 loss to Wolves.

But since Sean Dyche’s team is heading into this historic match off of a fantastic 1-0 victory over Arsenal, we anticipate Jurgen Klopp to make 3 changes.

How Liverpool could line up to square off against Everton

Alisson Becker, who has perhaps been the only Reds player to be on a roll this year, will start in goal as per usual. Trent Alexander-Arnold, the right-back who was recently destroyed by Kaoru Mitoma in Liverpool’s FA Cup defeat against Brighton, is also expected to preserve his spot in our anticipated Liverpool starting XI against Everton.

Joe Gomez, who was supposed to start with Joel Matip against the Toffees, is expected to be replaced by Nat Phillips after adding to his seemingly never-ending string of subpar performances last weekend. By this point, Andy Robertson, who has participated in a number of Merseyside derbies, appears to be a lock for the opening kickoff.

Hendo and Thiago to start against Everton?

In our expected Liverpool team against Everton, the “excellent” Stefan Bajcetic may be replaced by Fabinho in defensive midfield simply because of the latter’s experience.

Jordan Henderson might take Naby Keita’s place as well, as his leadership can prove to be a crucial intangible in such a high-stress situation. Although Richard Keys criticized Thiago for being “beyond his best” on his personal website following the shocking loss at the Molineux Stadium, it seems highly unlikely that he will be sitting out the match against Sean Dyche and company. The front three of Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah are set to stay the same.

Liverpool’s Probable XI vs Everton

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Matip, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago, Salah, Nunez, Gakpo.
