Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota are putting up a lot of effort in getting back to their full fitness again from their injuries and return to Liverpool’s first as soon as possible.

The forwards have been out for several months. Diaz had an injury in October. And Jota was later declared ineligible for the World Cup.

As the struggling Reds continue to contend with injury woes this season, Jurgen Klopp has had to manage without two of his essential players.

Nevertheless, after working arduously on rehabilitation, they are getting closer to returning to their previous fitness level.

After suffering a setback, Diaz is likely to be sidelined until March.

He sustained the injury during a 3-2 loss to Arsenal in October. It led him to miss the rest of the first half of the season.

When he was added to Liverpool’s squad for their training camp in Dubai, there was hope for his two-month absence to end.

However, after Klopp disclosed that he suffered a training-related issue, he was sent home early.

Klopp updates on Jota and Diaz, who can make a return very soon

Reds’ manager said:

“It’s clear it’s a big disappointment for all of us, for him as well.”

However, Diaz updated his social media accounts with a favorable report on his fitness.

However, there hasn’t been any news in a while. And Diaz is unavoidably out of Liverpool’s Champions League lineup for the forthcoming match against Real Madrid. There have been rumours that he might not be included for the remainder of the season.

If he were to be, it would imply that he had little chance of arriving back by March.

Jota is likely to be out until the end of February.

The attacker suffered a calf injury during stoppage time against Man City at the Etihad Stadium earlier this season.

When his spot in the team was all but certain, this forced him to miss the World Cup with Portugal.

However, the club has since released a statement indicating that Jota is making “excellent progress” in his recovery plan.

The fitness of his forward has also recently been updated by Liverpool manager Klopp, who stated:

“I don’t know exactly how long.

He looks really good. He is out there on the pitch, he is doing a lot of stuff already, but another few weeks.”

Jota might return for Liverpool’s match against Real Madrid on February 21. As Klopp said:

“From my point of view, yes, but I don’t know.”

Jota’s earliest estimated comeback date is in time for Liverpool’s trip to St. James’ Park to play Newcastle.

But for the time being, the Reds are still missing two of their most essential attackers.
