Injuries became formality as Jurgen Klopp hints at new problems.

Injuries and problems for Klopp as Liverpool moves into their next match against City

Ahead of Man City‘s visit, Jurgen Klopp has not provided a detailed update on Liverpool’s injury situation but has made a suggestion that there may be further setbacks.

The Reds, who had lost Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, and Luis Diaz to Arsenal days before, managed to defeat Rangers 7-1 in midweek without any apparent fitness problems.

However, there is currently no word on whether any other injuries have occurred, as Klopp kept his pre-game news conference under wraps.

The manager did, however, hint that there would be issues to consider when he puts together his team for the weekend when speaking at the AXA Training Centre on Friday.

New tactics?

In each of the last three games, Klopp has used his new 4-4-2 formation. In a decisive victory against Rangers, five of the six attackers who participated scored or provided an assist or did both in the victory.

Given that Klopp has previously set up his team in a front-footed style versus City, a significant portion of his decision-making will depend on whether those offensive possibilities are still healthy.

It won’t be known who is well and who is injured until the team sheet is made public an hour before the start on Sunday. Of course, there is still a chance that this is all part of Klopp and Pep Guardiola’s mind games.

The Sky Blues vs. The Reds is always an entertaining game. Such games where you can’t afford to lose your focus even for a split second.

Along with the Gunners, City is dominating the Premier League right now. All due credit to Arsenal, but it’s only a matter of time till Erling Haaland happens! Manchester City is inevitable! However, you can never write off Liverpool as the Reds have a good record against the Citizens at Anfield.
