Former Liverpool player John Barnes has stated that he has heard rumours suggesting that Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is trying to convince Jurrien Timber to join the club.
Timber is set to leave Ajax

Barnes believes that the 21-year-old defender would be a good asset for Liverpool as he has now become a first-team international for the Netherlands and has a wealth of experience in both domestic and European competition.
