Liverpool are in the midst of a horrible season and the injury issues are really a hard thing to look past. Safe to say, the injuries alone are one of the big reasons for the downfall of the Reds.

Liverpool’s injury problems are starting to get better. Jurgen Klopp is getting close to having a fully stacked team to pick from after a disastrous time.

In recent weeks, players like Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, and Diogo Jota have all made successful comebacks, and even the less well-known Arthur Melo has been fully training.

The injury stats for Liverpool

Premier League games missed by Liverpool players this season are by far the most. Thus far, the team players have missed 162 games overall due to injuries.

The closest club [Chelsea with 124 games] has 38 fewer than the Reds team. Only 49 games have been missed by Manchester City players overall this season.

According to Jurgen Klopp, Joe Gomez, and Luis Diaz will return during the international break, although Thiago’s hip problem is still up in the air. While five months after his last game, a Colombian writer said on Wednesday that Diaz may play again as soon as the team’s trip to Bournemouth on Saturday.

How soon can Luis Diaz make a comeback?

Diaz last appeared for the Reds against Arsenal on October 9. After suffering a first LCL rupture that kept him out for two months, Diaz subsequently suffered a second injury while traveling to Dubai for the midseason training camp.

This week, Diaz, who has been out since suffering a knee injury in the loss against Arsenal in October, received encouraging news.

The Colombian should be eligible for the Reds’ final two months of Premier League games as Klopp claims he will resume full training at Kirkby the following week.

The 26-year-old has been gradually building up his recuperation, and for some weeks now, he has been running outside and engaging in ball training.

With Roberto Firmino available, Diogo Jota returning from injury, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah combining well, Liverpool have a plethora of attacking options.
