As the West Ham match is coming up, the Reds are warming up for their Carabao Cup match. Before the clash with the Hammers, Arne Slot admits that he is trying his to learn from Liverpool players of his squad.
For the past few years, even the Dutch media has not left any instance to bring the LFC Boss down. With the little time he has had since he became the Manager, Slot has tried his best to integrate new ideas.
Arne Slot admits he is still learning from Liverpool players
The Merseyside Club stands at the 2nd position of the 2024-25 Premier League table now. This is really impressive for the fans and the Reds. Credit goes to the newcomers and senior players, but, we have to also give the Dutchman his flowers.
However, Liverpool boss Arne Slot thinks that he is still a work in progress. While coaching the team, the Dutchman did not have much time with most of the LFC Stars in his squad. After a long break of International duty, Slot had minimal time to connect with the key players of the squad. Still, he managed to ease the anxiety of the fans with his coaching techniques.
Arne Slot might be the Head Coach of Liverpool, but he is learning.
“Before the last game, I actually told the players that I am still learning from them day by day. And one of the things I was curious about was how they would react to beating AC Milan in the Champions League
I had already seen their reaction to the defeat against Nottingham Forest and this was very positive, but reacting to a big win against one of Europe’s most historical clubs is also a test in its own way.”
In the program notes before West Ham Match, Arne Slot further went on to add that he wants his Liverpool squad to cope up. They need to battle difficulties with time. It proves how much prepared everyone is when there is a sudden crisis.
“We had faced a similar situation after beating Manchester United and we followed that up with the loss to Forest, so it was very pleasing to see us cope with these kind of challenges the way we did over the last week because it shows a strong mentality.”
