Liverpool are leading the Premier League with seven points clear from the second place Arsenal with one match on hand. The Reds also finished the Champions League initial round phase with the highest point, winning seven out of eight matches in the campaign. Well, Liverpool’s brilliant way of preventing injuries within the team helps them to get this result. All the players are doing pretty well for the team and suffering less injury compared to the last season.
According to the report published by the Athletic, Liverpool suffered only 4.3 injuries per 1,000 minutes played this season, down from 5.9 injuries at this point of last season.
Last season Jurgen Klopp suffered a lot due to an injury crisis. However, the Dutch manager Arne Slot is doing pretty good thanks to the brilliant management of the players.
Slot has a heavy match load compared to Klopp last season as the Liverpool boss had to face a high-profile opponent in the Champions League.

How are Liverpool preventing injuries?
However, Liverpool worked brilliantly to prevent injuries for their players. Ruben Peeters, formerly head of physical performance at Feyenoord, joined Liverpool followed by the joining of the head coach Arne Slot to the team.
Ruben is known for his brilliant management of the players in terms of injury and physio. Peeters maps out training plans and individual timetables for each player to manage workload for rest and recovery and to avoid overloading players.
This leads to more contributions from almost every single player of the squad compared to the contributions in the last season.
Thanks to the brilliant management of the players, most of the Liverpool players suffered small timing injuries.
For example, Trent Alexander Arnold is out due to injury. But now for weeks or months, for days only. Apart from that Liverpool’s boss does not change the starting lineup drastically or often.
Rather than that, the Dutch manager used substitution for the rotation of the players in the second half of the game. This allows players to get time on the pitch and also gives rest to the starter.
By doing all these, Liverpool and Arne Slot are preventing injuries within the squad. This injury crisis ultimately helped Liverpool to achieve success on the pitch.
