The ex-Ajax footballer thinks that the team’s spirit and the fans make everything special and enjoyable. After his debut season, this Dutch star is finally enjoying his time at Anfield under the new LFC Boss.
Ryan Gravenberch reveals his feeling while playing for Liverpool
The 2023-24 season was bad for this Liverpool midfielder, due to his inactive for most of the matches. Although Jurgen Klopp was at Anfield, now it appears that this senior LFC star made improvement under Slot.
Recently, Ryan Gravenberch was talking about how much he loves playing for Liverpool. This season, the 22-year-old is making significant progress in comparison to his last season where he stayed at the bench.
The Dutch Defender has only started 21 games, despite appearing 38 times. However, under Arne Slot, Ryan is contributing the defensive as well as attacking side.
While talking to Anfield Index, Gravenberch revealed that hearing the anthem of Liverpool makes him feel goosebumps.
“You’ll Never Walk Alone gives me goosebumps when the Liverpool fans sing it. I really enjoy playing at Anfield. The energy that the fans give us helps us, especially when we are 1-0 down or something. The fans stay behind us and are pushing us.”
Furthermore, while he was talking, Gravenberch revealed why playing for Liverpool is amazing because of the fans.
“It was good to win the Carabao Cup. Playing at Wembley was crazy. It was my first time at Wembley and it is a big, big stadium. The Liverpool fans were really brilliant and that’s why they are the twelfth man. In extra-time, when we needed them, they were there.”
