Liverpool made Jeremie Frimpong their first summer signing, and the Dutch full-back has now opened up about the current squad.
The Premier League champions unveiled the Dutch right-back last month to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, making him their first signing.
Frimpong is now waiting to make his debut in a red jersey. Fans are expected to see him on the right flank in the pre-season clash against Preston on July 13.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have been very busy in the transfer market. The Reds signed Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia and finally confirmed the long-awaited transfer of Florian Wirtz on Friday.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the Merseysiders also sealed a deal for Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for £40 million — the same day they announced Wirtz’s arrival. Kerkez is set to become the next player to join, with the official announcement expected soon.
Looking at the stacked Liverpool squad, Jeremie Frimpong shared his thoughts.

What Frimpong said about the Liverpool squad
The 24-year-old full-back said: “I’m really excited, I’m really looking forward to playing with the Liverpool squad, and of course, Flo (Wirtz) is joining so it makes it extra nice.”
It seems he’s genuinely excited about reuniting with Wirtz at Anfield. Their partnership continues in England, as they aim to lift the league title once more, just as they did together in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen.
He added: “I’m going to a comfortable environment because I also know some people from the national team.”
Frimpong is the latest Dutch international to join the Reds after Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch, and, of course, Liverpool boss Arne Slot. The Dutch connection looks strong as Liverpool prepares for the new season.
