According to the Formal Liverpool star, the Red’s manager Jurgen Klopp needs to get rid of a few players in the upcoming summer transfer window.

After a 5-2 demolition by the hands of Real Madrid at Anfield, the Merseyside giants need to make a few crucial changes to regain the status of European elites.

The English side have struggled to find any consistency this season. But Tuesday’s loss in the round of 16 of the Champions League made it very eminent in front of LFC fans.

Murphy’s suggestion to Klopp on the summer transfer window

Formal Liverpool star Danny Murphy believes a squad overhaul is needed at Anfield. He expressed his feelings on the White and Jordan show, he said:

“I think it’s time for a big reset, I think there’s going to be five or six gone in summer.

I think Klopp knows, Klopp will get the opportunity to fix this and he deserves that opportunity to fix this and e deserves that opportunity, a hundred per cent.”

The 45-year-old further added saying:

“But I think you’re looking at least half a dozen, maybe four of five at least- probably half a dozen coming in, in the summer.”

Players who could leave in the upcoming summer transfer window according to Murphy:-

“When you’ve got Keita, OX, Milner is near the end, that’s three in midfield, that leaves space then. You could probably throw Fabinho in there maybe, depending how much you get from him to get someone younger in that role.

Matip has been great by the way, it’s not a criticism of him, but there’s a time where the squad has to evolve.

We’ve got Gakpo, Diaz, Jota, Bobby Firmino, Mo Salah and Nunez. We don’t need six, so one of them might go as well, but he’s got to free up some space to bring in some new energy”.
