Peter Moore, former Liverpool CEO has claimed that owners FSG are “working feverishly” to extend contracts with Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold.
The 2024-25 season has kicked off in a dominant fashion for the Reds despite initial concerns regarding new head coach Arne Slot’s takeover.
Although Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield exit prompted many fans to question the future of the club, as the Merseysiders stand first in both the PL and UCL, their doubts have most certainly been blown away.
The star players have all performed up to their standards and some have even outdone themselves.
So it would not come as a surprise that the Merseyside club are ready to renew some of their contracts.
As skipper Virgil van Dijk, vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold and talisman Mohamed Salah will he running out of contract coming summer, the club’s agenda is to extend their stay.

Peter Moore on Liverpool contracts for Van Dijk, Salah & Alexander-Arnold
Former Liverpool FC CEO Peter Moore recently spoke at Soccerex in Miami and confirmed that the club officials are determined to keep the three aces at the Merseyside.
The chief executive, who served the Reds for three years between 2017 and 2020, said as quoted via Liverpool ECHO,
“I don’t know what is going to happen but it is Trent, it’s Mo, it’s Virgil and it’s hard to imagine any of those leaving Liverpool.
Ownership, I know ownership (FSG) is working feverishly to get deals done with all three and whether it is all three, two of the three, one of three or none of the three, I don’t know.
You look at those players and what I do like is they all seem dedicated right now and there is nobody, particularly those three, that has taken a game off for some reason. And they are, even in Trent’s case, they are the senior citizens and you look at what they offer.”
Van Dijk, Salah and Trent has been efficacious for LFC’s success over the years so securing the three for a few more years would be beneficial for Liverpool.
