Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson visited his former teammates and the new coaching staff last month on his return to Liverpool.
After winning all trophies with Liverpool, Henderson left the club two 2 years back to join Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq. He spent a year in the Saudi League before returning to Europe with Ajax and is now the Ajax captain.

“So good. I’ve watched them a lot, I think the team have had another lift with the manager and the staff coming in. The performances have been outstanding every time I’ve watched them play, they look in full control.” Jordan Henderson on how good Liverpool have been under Arne Slot.
“I went to Liverpool a few weeks ago and met Arne Slot there and his staff and the team, it was very impressive to be honest. You can see the energy is very good there at the minute, the vibe is good, they look very strong in the league. So it’s nice to see.” Henderson added
The former Liverpool captain was pictured meeting with the players last month at the AXA training centre.
Jordan Henderson spent 12 years at Liverpool before leaving in 2023. It was under Henderson’s captaincy Liverpool won all the major trophies in recent years. He was a key player for Jurgen Klopp.
