According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Liverpool owners are keen to continue with Jurgen Klopp as the Merseyside giant’s head coach.

After competing for the quadruple last season, the Red’s side have struggled to sustain themselves in any competition this season. They are out of FA Cup, and League Cup and are trailing by 3 goals in the round of 16 of the Champions League against the current champions Real Madrid.

After the 5-2 defeat at Anfield, the German boss has faced a lot of criticism for his tactics and lack of quality in the squad, especially in midfield and defense.

However, the club owners seem to believe in the vision of the 55-year-old. FSG hass the aim to rebuild Klopp’s side to regain its status as the European elite.

Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel hinted at several names that the Merseyside club could look at in the transfer window, as well as suggesting that FSG will back the manager during this rebuilding face.

“What we can say is that Liverpool are already planning for an important summer together with Jurgen Klopp”,

stated Romano.

“They know Jude Bellingham is going to be the top priority of course for the summer, but they also have other names in the list. We know about Mathus Nunes from Wolves, we know there’s interest for Mason Mount, let’s see the contract talks with Chelsea, how they will proceed in next months.”

The Italian journalist further added

“So Liverpool know that they need to refresh the midfield and also keep an eye on defensive positions. They probably need something in those positions, and this is why it’s going to be a crucial time and Liverpool, because this is probably the end of the first era of Jurgen Klopp, but they want to continue with him.”

This could be the end of Klopp’s first era but not the end of Jurgen Klopp as the English giant’s manager.
