Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano has stated that the young Arsenal star, Bakayo Saka would not be leaving the club, even with interest from top PL clubs.

Fabrizio, in his new video, put down rumours about the 21-year-old wanting to leave Arsenal to join other clubs. Moreover, he has confirmed that Saka would be signing a new contract with the Gunners following his spectacular season. Saka has become the first player to hit double digits in goals and assists in the Arsenal camp.

The current PL leaders have worked hard to secure the signature of Saka on a long deal. They have succeeded in doing the same as Romano claimed that the ‘verbal agreement has been in place since February’. This means that Liverpool are out of the race to sign the Englishman, despite their interest in the player over the years.

It has been reported that the Anfield club were keen on signing the Englishman for a few years now. However, the 21-year-old is set to stay in North London despite interests from Liverpool and Manchester City.

‘Saka is staying’: Romano

Nobody expected Arsenal to be on top of the pile last season but the Gunners have been a revelation under Arteta this season. The young Arsenal side is in contention to win the league for the first time since 2004.

Furthermore, Saka has been one of the key players helping the Gunners to the top. With his 12 goals and 10 assists, he is in contention to win the PFA Player of the Year.

Whilst Liverpool might have had a chance a few years ago to sign the Arsenal phenom, that opportunity is now well and truly gone for the Merseyside giants.

Also, with Mo Salah’s future in doubt with the Reds, Saka would have been a potential replacement at Anfield. However, as of now, it wouldn’t be happening as Saka is set to commit his future at the Emirates.
