As per Football Insider, Barcelona have offered a ‘huge’ contract to Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino who is set to leave the Reds at the end of this season.

The Brazilian forward confirmed that he would be departing the Anfield club at the end of this season. He has won everything at Liverpool and looks to take up a new challenge in his career.

Firmino has been one of the most important players in Jurgen Klopp’s squad. He has been key to their recent success and adapted to the ‘defensive striker’ role for Klopp.

He has been part of the forward trio along with Mane and Salah, which dominated World football back in the day.

Firmino headed to Barcelona?

Sources have revealed that the 31-year-old has been offered a huge deal from the Catalan side. Moreover, it had been rumoured that Real Madrid are one of the favourites to sign the forward as well.

As far as the rumours go, there have been speculations about Firmino receiving offers from a Saudi Arabian club as well.

Furthermore, Turkish giants, Galatasaray as well have shown interest in the services of the Brazilian. Also, the current UCL semi-finalists, Inter Milan are also said to be interested in signing him.

But with all the offers on the table for Firmino, it is rumoured that he prefers a move to Spain.

The forward moved to Liverpool from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015 in a deal worth £30 million. He has since been one of the fan favourites and has won all possible trophies with the Reds.

The Maceió-born forward has scored 109 goals and provided 79 assists in 360 appearances for Liverpool. He has also performed well for Brazil which has seen him win the Copa America for his nation.

However, his game time has been limited due to the box office signings of Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo. But he has still been crucial for the Reds this season where he has 11 goals and 5 assists in 33 games. Recently, he scored late in the day at Anfield to secure a draw against Arsenal.

Overall, it is to be seen where the Brazilian would end up the next season, with clubs competing for his signature.
