The Catalonians are eyeing their sixth summer signing but the Liverpool star is going to be expensive and impossible to sign even though Barcelona are preparing an €80M bid.

Barcelona is planning to bid 80 million euros on Liverpool‘s star right back. With no trophies last campaign for the Catalonians under their new manager Xavi. Moreover, their Iconic star and the brand that defined Barcelona Lionel Messi, left the club last summer. And Camp Nou went on from hosting the Champions League to Europa League.

They Signed Ferran Torres and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last winter to save the campaign. But they lost the quarterfinals of the Europa League to Eintracht Frankfurt, had early exits in the Supercopa and Copa del Rey, and finished second in the LaLiga.

Barcelona revealed that the club has a debt of around 1.35 billion euros. Therefore, they won’t be able to resign Messi with a new contract. The players were asked to cut their wages for now to buy players and handle the financial crisis. Most players who joined Barca in the winter were free transfers and loans except Ferran.

And he finished second in most assists in the league behind his teammate Mohamed Salah. He has made 227 appearances for the club scoring 13 goals and setting up 62 goals for the Reds.
