LFC and Fulham have discussed the terms to sign Fabio Carvalho in the upcoming transfer window. It is said that Carvalho has also agreed to the terms and has made contact with Liverpool Management.
The fee is said to be agreed on 7.7m Euros, as 5m Euros for the initial fee + 2.7m Euros in add-ons. Medical is also completed and the deal is inked for Five Years.
How Carvalho can add value at LFC
Carvalho’s current Fulham player has been impressive this season and would look to continue the good run at LFC. Having appeared in over 30 games and having a goal/assist ratio of 8/7, the stats look solid for a 19-year-old.
The Portuguese has remained a ‘key player’ in the current Fulham setup.
Fabio Carvalho was keen on moving to the Merseyside club, considering a failed move in the recent January transfer window.
Liverpool, on the other side, were also keen on getting the player, as they had completed the Medical as well 2 months back but ‘failed to procure him’ at the Deadline Day.
Key features of the Deal
The deal which has taken place between the parties stands as follows:
- The agreement has been reached for 5m Euros plus 2.7m Euros to Fulham.
- While the sell-on clause is to be included which is going to be for about 20% of the future sale price.
- The contract is for a period of 5 years, i.e., starting from the next season until 2027.
- He is going to be with the Liverpool main team from next season, no plan to loan the player back to London.
Meanwhile, the player has also had a conversation with The Boss, Klopp after his Medical tests at The AXA training Centre.
Carvalho’s position in the Liverpool team
The 19-year-old Portuguese international is most probably going to get into the first team under Klopp.
Carvalho who plays as an Attacking midfielder, could well in place replace the Liverpool stalwart, James Milner.
Fabio, who is here for a long, will look to make the most of the opportunities presented right now and make a mark for himself in the team.
Fabio Carvalho is truly one of the promising talents, who could do ‘dreams’ in the Premier League.
