Curtis Jones surprises Harry Kane and other England footballers

The 23-year-old has put up a good show in all of his 13 appearances for the Merseyside Club this season. Besides being a decent performer in the midfield, Curtis’ goal against Chelsea is worth talking about. As the international break came up in November, England called up Jones.

While the Three Lions were preparing for match against Greece, the team attended the latest training session. The England Captain and a lot of stars were present, but Curtis earned the spotlight.

He showed off his skills and scored 4 goals, which was even witnessed by Liverpool legend John Barnes. With his England teammates watching, Jones scored the first one after receiving from Guehi. The shot went past Pickford in the bottom corner.

His second goal was from a loose ball where Curtis sidestepped Cole after cutting it inside beautifully. The third one was comparatively slower – Jones passed it to his England teammate Harwood-Bellis first. He kept running, received it and chipped right over Pickford.

The final goal was picturesque – Curtis, after getting the ball from Guehi, won a 1v1 against Bellingham. Before curling it inside, he ran past Ezri like it was nothing.

Shortly after Jones left his England teammates awestruck, Harry Kane praised him: “Brilliant, Curt, brilliant, Curt!”. The Everton goalkeeper could not help but walk off with a grin.
