Wounded Liverpool are up against Crystal Palace in the Premier League tie, as they look to bounce after the midweek disappointment.

Klopp and Co. are up for their next challenge, as they travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League. After being battered by Real Madrid in the previous tie at Anfield, Klopp would demand a strong response from his boys as they aim for a consecutive third league win.

Liverpool had a dream start to the Champions League Round of 16 tie against Real Madrid, having forwards Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah scoring early into the game, however, the Liverpool fans saw a dramatic collapse of the six-time European champions at Anfield.

Prior to facing the Spanish giants, the Reds registered two vital wins against Everton and Newcastle to keep their hopes alive to reach the top four, however, their next game won’t be an easy one as the Anfield outfit faces the Eagles.

Patrick Viera’s side on the other hand were denied a win in their previous game against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium. The Eagles are still searching for their first victory of 2023. The London outfit have drawn four times in the last five games, as their only defeat was against Manchester United in a close encounter. Sitting in twelfth position in the league, Palace have shown they are a resilient side and they could cause all lots of problems to put more misery on Liverpool on Saturday evening.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool: Team News

Liverpool are without Thiago Alcantara, Calvin Ramsey, Luis Diaz, and Ibrahima Konate for the tie of their respective injuries. However, Daiz and Konate have been back in training having taken part in a couple of sessions.

With forwards Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino now fully fit and knocking on the door for starts, the Portuguese could partner Nunez and Salah in the frontline, meanwhile, Bobby could expect more minutes coming off the bench.

Midfielder Naby Keita is anticipated to start in the midfield, furthermore, defender Joel Matip should partner Virgil Van Dijk given Joe Gomez’s first-leg disaster in midweek.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Keita; Salah, Nunez, Jota

Liverpool predicted XI vs Crystal Palace

What does Anfield Home predict?

Even though Liverpool’s wheels fell apart against Real Madrid, the talent at Klopp’s helm should be enough to grab all three points from the tie. Patrick Viera’s team aren’t able to get over the line which surely concerns the French head coach, although defensively the team looks resilient enough.

Selhurst Park could possibly see a close encounter, but powerhouse Liverpool should march with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
