Former Premier League star Michael Essien has claimed that Red’s number one target Jude Bellingham had an impressive run at the Qatar World Cup.

The English midfielder is attracting a lot of interest from Europe’s top clubs. His stunning campaign with England in Qatar has impressed everyone around the globe.

What Michael Essien thinks about the performance of Jude Bellingham in World Cup 2022

Bellingham’s performance has been the key reason that guided England to the quarter-final stage. Chelsea legend Essien claims that the 19-year-old is the best midfielder at World Cup. The ex-Blues midfielder also named Manchester United defender Raphael Varane as the best center-back.

Even though, according to many pundits, the LFC young defender Ibrahima Konate has been the best center back in this tournament. He has impressed the French coach Didier Deschamps and has become one of the key components in the French back line.

Liverpool’s eye on English starboy

The current Dortmund midfielder seems to be Klopp’s main target to reignite the Red’s midfield. Alongside him, Enzo Fernandez and Sofyan Amrabat have been linked with the Merseyside giants. Even though the English midfielder is still a Dortmund player, he has already been a fan favorite for the global LFC fans.

Despite being so young, the 19-year-old has been a key factor for both his club and national team. LFC captain Jordan Henderson loves his English teammate. He believes it’s just a matter of time before he joins the Red’s camp.

Klopp’s call to take

The German genius is looking forward to the second half of the season. With Liverpool standing in the sixth position in the PL table, some serious injection of fresh blood is needed.

Jude could be a perfect fit for Liverpool. His vision and ability to dribble in tight situation match Klopp’s philosophy of Geganpressing. Will Liverpool pay £130M for the Bundesliga star or they will look for other options?

This is what Klopp needs to decide now but for the fans, Bellingham looks better in the red jersey.
