Wataru Endo a Japanese midfielder for Liverpool may be sold during the upcoming January transfer window according to Jamie Carragher.
With players like Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister occupying deeper midfield roles Endo has found it difficult to get regular playing time since manager Arne Slot took over.
Even though Martin Zubimendi was not signed by Liverpool during the summer Carragher thinks Endo’s style of play may not work in Slots preferred system.

Carragher on Endo being a mis-match for Liverpool under Slot
While Endo has helped out when needed Carragher said on Sky Sports that he is not the kind of No. six that Liverpool had initially requested.
He said,
“I’m not sure he’s [Endo] the type of profile that Arne Slot looks for in that position.
You talk about the No.6 they were looking at, and we all know that guy was Martin Zubimendi. He’s a complete contrast to the type of player that Endo is.”
Liverpool’s recent Carabao Cup match against West Ham United demonstrated Endo’s limited impact as the local media gave his performance a low rating.
Endo’s performance against West Ham put his long-term future at the club in doubt despite the fact that he assisted Liverpool in winning the Carabao Cup final the previous season.
His lack of progressive passing and his part in a defensive blunder were the main points of criticism.
Thus there are rumors that Liverpool may let go of the seasoned midfield player in order to make room for a different defensive midfielder during the winter transfer window.
