Liverpool fans will be licking their lips as Arsenal’s injury list continues to grow ahead of their crucial Premier League clash on October 27.
With the Reds in fine form, the Gunners could be missing some of their top players, including Bukayo Saka, in what could be a massive blow for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Arsenal’s injury woes worsened when Saka limped off during England’s match against Greece. The winger lasted just 50 minutes before being substituted, and now Arsenal are anxiously waiting for an update. With Liverpool lurking around the corner, Saka’s fitness is a hot topic.
Arsenal’s injury woes pile up
Saka isn’t the only worry for Arsenal. Star midfielder Martin Odegaard remains sidelined with an ankle injury, and there’s no clear timeline for his return. Arsenal captain missing out would be music to Liverpool’s ears as he’s a key figure in Arsenal’s midfield.
To make matters worse, Kai Havertz was withdrawn from the Germany squad with a knee injury, while defender Ben White is also battling a groin issue. If that wasn’t enough, Arsenal’s full-backs Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney are also doubtful for the big game.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will be hoping their own players return from international duty unscathed. Arne Slot’s men are looking to keep their title push alive, and a victory over Arsenal could be a huge step forward. With Arsenal’s injury crisis deepening, the Reds might just have one foot in the door already.
