Arne Slot is on the verge of securing Liverpool’s second Premier League title in just his first season at the helm, with the club likely to reward him with a new contract, promising a salary bump.
Under his leadership, Liverpool have built a commanding 13-point lead at the top of the Premier League, with only 10 games remaining.
A maximum of seven more wins will be enough to guarantee the title, putting Slot on track for an extraordinary debut season.
In addition to the league title, Liverpool remains in contention for silverware in both the Champions League and Carabao Cup, making it a potentially historic season for Slot.
However, this success brings into focus the contract he signed upon his arrival from Feyenoord last summer.
The Dutch manager agreed to a three-year deal, meaning he will have just two years remaining when the season concludes.
It’s widely expected that Liverpool will soon open talks for a longer-term extension to reflect his achievements and continued success.

How much Arne Slot earns at Liverpool as potential bonuses reportedly revealed
Slot’s current contract, as reported by Dutch publication De Telegraaf, sees him earn a base salary of €8 million annually, which equates to approximately £6.6 million per year or around £127,000 per week.
It was also reported that his salary includes performance-related bonuses, which would significantly increase if he secures silverware during his first season.
Given the current trajectory, with Liverpool heading towards potential league and cup titles, Slot could be in line for a substantial bonus come the summer.
For comparison, Liverpool paid Jurgen Klopp €18 million (£14.9 million) annually during the final years of his contract, a figure notably higher than what Slot is currently earning.
While Slot’s financial terms differ from those of his predecessor, his rising profile at the club could soon see his compensation adjusted accordingly.
The Current contract situation at Liverpool FC
While Slot’s situation is somewhat settled, Liverpool’s player contracts remain a pressing issue.
Beyond the high-profile contracts of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose deals expire this summer, there are several other key players entering the final year of their current terms.
Ibrahima Konaté, Andy Robertson, and Caoimhin Kelleher will all see their contracts run out in 2026. Meanwhile, Alisson’s contract also expires in 2026 but includes an option for a one-year extension.
Like Slot, many of the club’s backroom staff and senior players will have two years remaining on their contracts after this season.
Key figures such as Luis Díaz, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, Kostas Tsimikas, Harvey Elliott, Joe Gomez, Conor Bradley, and Wataru Endo all set to have two years left as of the summer.
On the other hand, several key players have longer-term security. Alexis Mac Allister, Darwin Nunez, Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch, and Federico Chiesa are all contracted until 2029.
Additionally, Jarell Quansah is the only player currently tied to a 2030 contract, having signed a new deal in October.
With several important contracts expiring in the near future, Liverpool will need to prioritize talks and secure the futures of their star players, especially as they continue to build on their recent successes under Slot’s management.
