Arne Slot’s unbelievable Liverpool stats that’ll shock you

Arne Slot has been reaching new heights with every game in charge of Liverpool and the stats are exceptional.

The end of the 2023-24 season marked the conclusion of German tactician Jurgen Klopp’s tenure as the manager of the Anfield giants.

Fans were both in disbelief and scepticism about the future of the club as the celebrated mastermind left.

In his farewell speech, Klopp even announced his successor, even before the club could officially confirm the appointment of Dutch manager Arne Slot.

Although many reports and the German himself had vowed for the calibre of the former Feyenoord manager, a sense of unsurety kept meandering through the Kopites’ minds.

However, right now, that uncertainty is a thing in the past as the newly appointed head coach of Liverpool has led the Merseysiders to the top of both the Premier League and Champions League.

With 28 points in just 11 league matches, the Reds sit atop the PL points table, five points clear of the second-placed Manchester City.

In UCL, they are first after matchday 4, with a perfect 12 points, two points clear of Sporting CP.

Arne Slot at Liverpool: The jaw-dropping stats

The Dutch tactician, after the 2-0 victory against Aston Villa, became the top manager with the most points from their first 11 PL games in charge.

Slot accumulated 28 points from 11 games, the same as John Gregory in the 1997-98 season with Villa and Guus Hiddink in the 2008-09 season with Chelsea. The Liverpool man beats them in goal difference.

To put this in context, his predecessor, Klopp, had accumulated 18 points in the first 11 games of his debut season.

Slot was also three points shy of equating the best start of the Reds that came in the PL-winning season in 2019-20. What those lost three points against Fulham could’ve meant!

Now one might argue that the former Feyenoord boss received an almost perfect team to begin his PL career with. But the truth is not everyone with a mallet and hammer can carve out a sculpture.

That too doing in the first season of one of, if not the toughest domestic leagues in the world, requires exceptional caliber to pull off.

With the international break currently going on, Slot & Co. have gotten their necessary time off to reevaluate the situation and plan out the next steps.

Hopefully, another PL title is on the way; buckle up Kopites!
